Hyderabad, July 19, 2025 (Maxim News): The Faculty of Law at Osmania University successfully organized a 21-Hour National Workshop on Legal Research Methodology from July 16 to 18, 2025 at the University College of Law, attracting enthusiastic participation from over 106 LL.M. students across Telangana.
The three-day workshop, structured around nine technical sessions, aimed to equip young legal scholars with advanced tools and techniques for conducting original and effective legal research. Renowned professors and legal experts served as resource persons, delivering in-depth lectures and practical insights throughout the event.
The workshop was inaugurated on July 16 by Prof. (Dr.) Kumar Molugaram, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, who served as the Chief Guest. He emphasized the critical importance of research in the legal field and encouraged students to pursue methodical, ethical, and impactful research that contributes to societal transformation.
Valedictory Session Highlights the Importance of Legal Research
The workshop concluded on July 18 with a valedictory session graced by Prof. (Dr.) Gaddam Naresh Reddy, Registrar of Osmania University, who commended the Faculty of Law for their efforts.

“Effective and genuine legal research is the need of the hour, as law influences every dimension of society,” he said. He also congratulated the participants for their active involvement and urged the department to continue hosting such impactful programs that enhance the teaching-learning ecosystem at the University.
Prof. (Dr.) B. Vijayalaxmi, Dean & Head, Department of Law, OU, served as the Convener of the Workshop and presented a detailed report, encouraging students to implement their newly acquired research skills in future academic endeavors.
Student Participation and Feedback
Dr. N. Ram Prasad, Principal, University College of Law, presided over the session and praised the dedication of the students. Prof. (Dr.) N. Venkateshwarlu also shared a message reaffirming the department’s commitment to more such student-focused academic events.
In their feedback, participants expressed appreciation for the practical orientation of the workshop and highlighted the real-time insights they gained on research methodology. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, led by the Registrar and other dignitaries.
The successful organization of the workshop was made possible through the collective efforts of part-time lecturers, research scholars, and administrative staff of the Law College.
