Hyderabad, Mar 6 (Maxim News): An incident took place in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday where officials fined a person for using drinking water supplied by the Water Board for other purposes.
Water Board MD Ashok Reddy was traveling from Panjagutta to Jubilee Hills on the main road when he noticed water leaking on road number 78. He ordered the local GM Harishankar to inspect. He went there along with his manager and saw a man washing his bike with water supplied by the Water Board. When the matter was explained to the MD, he expressed his anger. He was given a notice and fined Rs. 1,000.
Officials warned that legal action would be taken if the protected water intended for drinking is used for cleaning vehicles, gardening, or washing the surroundings of houses. (Maxim News)
