Hyderabad, Sept 29 (Maxim News): CV Anand has commented that the hard work of producers is being wasted due to movie piracy . This industry is being badly affected. He said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated based on the complaint of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce against piracy . He recalled that they conducted a hard investigation for four months. It was revealed that for the first time in the country, a gang involved in piracy has been caught. In 2023, the Indian film industry lost Rs. 22,400 crore due to piracy, said CP CV Anand.
In 2024, the Telugu film industry lost Rs. 3700 crore. He said that a comprehensive investigation was conducted keeping all these factors in mind. He said that the audience is also getting used to online betting due to pirated movies . He explained that pirated movies are being streamed through a website and Telegram. He said that the accused are pirating movies through cam orders along with hacking servers. CP CV Anand said that the operators of betting gaming apps are encouraging the pirates by giving money.
‘Betting app operators are promoting their apps through pirated movies. We formed special teams immediately after receiving the complaint from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Pirated movies are being made available on Tamil Blasters, Five Movie Rules, and Tamil Movie Website . In this case, Jana Kiran Kumar from Hyderabad copied the movie at the Mantra Mall Theater in Attapur. After the complaint, the real accused was found to be Jana Kiran Kumar .
Many movies were recorded with a mobile phone at the Mantra Theater in Attapur and given to a person named Cyril. He copied 100 movies in the theater. Kiran Kumar takes 300 to 400 dollars in Bitcoins for each movie. Later, he converts them into Indian currency using a cryptocurrency trading platform. He finds a suitable seat for movie piracy, books a ticket and records it with a phone with a high-end camera. He does all this without raising suspicion through an app that records videos on the cameras even when the screen is off. Similarly, Arsalan Ahmed from Bihar also records Hindi Bhojpuri movies and sends them to Cyril,’ said Hyderabad CP CV Anand.
‘Sudhakaran of Sathyamangalam pirates movies and gives them to Cyril. A person named Cyril is the main accused.. He is from Karur. After a thorough investigation, it was found that Cyril is the key. He has been running four websites since 2020. He chose this path after doing computer science and getting used to easy money. He hired agents and pirated movies of all languages. He uploaded these movies on websites through a Netherlands IP address. He is also using two other servers showing the Paris location.
Cyril is expressing surprise that no one will come to him.. despite taking all precautions, he was caught. 1xBet, 4Ra Bet, Rajbet, Parimatch betting apps are giving Cyril Rs. 9 lakhs as salary per month. He uploads about 15 movies per month. He has uploaded 500 movies on a website called Tamil Blasters alone. We also found the recently released movie Kubera with Cyril.
Cyril is using 10 crypto currency wallets and three bank accounts. A person named Ashwini Kumar, who is trading crypto currency into US dollars, has been arrested. A person named Ashwini Kumar (22) hacks digital media servers and copies movies,’ said Hyderabad CP CV Anand.
Ashwin Kumar has 22 CCTV cameras installed around his house. Seeing the police coming, he deleted the mobile data. But he could not delete the data on the hard disk. We have seized that hard disk. He is uploading the movie by hacking the server. Ashwin Kumar has the ability to hack the servers of digital media houses as well . He has directly hacked the servers of 10, 20 movies and uploaded the movies. He is using 200 MB speed internet. Not just movies.
He has also hacked the servers of all government department websites. He has also hacked the websites of the Election Commission. Along with the Hit-3 movie, many recently released movies were found on Ashwin Kumar’s hard disk.
