Police stood by people during the Covid pandemic : DGP

Hyderabad, Dec.31 (Maxim News): DGP M. Mahender Reddy today said that the state police department stood by the people of the state during Covid pandemic in the year 2021.

Speaking to media persons in the city, Reddy said that they had worked as Covid warriors by coordinating with all the departments of the states. He also said that the department had achieved a good name during the years 2020 and 2021. He said that the department had succeeded in making the state into a Maoist free Telangana and added that they had taken strict steps to prevent the entry of the Maoists in Telangana in the year 2021.

Reddy said that they had arrested 98 Maoists and added that 133 maoists had surrendered before them. He also said that they had seized 8 fire arms and cash dumps of the Maoists in the year 2021.

Speaking further, The DGP said that Crimes had gone up in Telangana and that there was an increase of 4.6 percent of crimes in the state when compared to the last year. He also said that the criminals were convicted in 50.3 Percent of the cases and axes that they had received 11.24 complaints on dial 100 emergency number. (Maxim News)
