Prestigious Medigadda Barrage Pillars Sank Due To The Problems In The Sand Says ENC

Hyderabad, Oct 25 (Maxim News): The Telangana State Engineer-in-Chief Muralidhar Rao said that the collapse of Medigadda (Lakshmi) barrage pillars which is part of the Kaleswaram project, said that there are no defects in the construction of the Medigadda project and said that he thinks the problem is due to sand.

It may be recalled that the pillars of the Medigadda (Lakshmi) barrage, which is a key part of the Kaleswaram project, collapsed on Saturday evening (October 21), With this, the shape of the project has changed.  While doing the maintenance work, there was a loud noise from the gates.  The officials were alerted by this.  The pillar was found to be bent.  Irrigation officials who came to know about the matter raised the 85 gates of the barrage and released the water downstream.  Traffic between Maharashtra and Telangana has been suspended.

Meanwhile, Kannepally and Annaram pump houses were submerged in floods last year, now now Medigadda barrage has collapsed. (Maxim News)
