New Delhi, July 29: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) exercises control over India’s education and examination system during a discussion in the Lok Sabha on the NEET paper leak and the recent CJP agitation.

Rahul Gandhi also accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of ordering action against students who participated in the protests. He alleged that students were fired upon during the agitation and held the Union government responsible for the response.

Rahul Gandhi Targets Government Over Education System

Addressing the House, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the RSS had taken control of the country’s education system and that its members occupied key positions in educational institutions. He further alleged that universities across the country were being run by vice chancellors affiliated with the RSS.

He also said that the resignation of former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan alone would not bring significant changes, claiming that the broader education system remained under the influence of the RSS.

The government strongly objected to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and other NDA members rejected the allegations and demanded that Rahul Gandhi substantiate his claims.

Several NDA MPs maintained that allegations made in Parliament should be supported by evidence. They asked Rahul Gandhi either to provide proof for his statements or withdraw the remarks.

The discussion took place amid continuing political exchanges over the NEET paper leak and the handling of recent student protests.
