Ayodhya, July 19: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will hold a crucial meeting on July 22 to discuss the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on the alleged Ram temple donation embezzlement case, if the report is available by then.
According to Trust General Secretary Krishna Mohan, a special meeting will begin at 3 pm inside the Ram temple complex. It will be followed by the Trust’s regular meeting at 4 pm at Maniram Chhawni, the residence of Trust President Nritya Gopal Das.

As per the agenda circulated to trustees on July 7, the meeting will confirm the proceedings of the July 6 meeting and the special meeting scheduled on the same day.
The trustees will also discuss the reconstitution of various committees in line with the Trust’s rules. In addition, they are expected to deliberate on the SIT’s final report into the alleged donation theft if it is submitted before the meeting.
The July 6 meeting was the Trust’s first after the alleged embezzlement of donations came to light. During that meeting, the Trust constituted a special committee to recommend amendments to the Trust deed. It also approved guidelines for the custody, valuation and disposal of offerings made by devotees.
The proposed discussion on the SIT report assumes significance as the Uttar Pradesh government ordered an inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of temple donations. The controversy has led to administrative and legal action, making the investigation a key issue before the Trust.
