Telangana BJP State President N Ramchander Rao thanked rural voters for their strong support in the Phase 1 Panchayat elections. He said the BJP secured noteworthy victories and noted that the results show the party is steadily growing in the villages. He stated that people are increasingly looking towards the BJP for leadership as they assess ongoing development work. His comments came on Thursday after the party reviewed the early trends.
Meanwhile, he said the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains committed to the development of Gram Panchayats. He highlighted welfare and infrastructure initiatives that he said have improved rural life. According to him, these include new roads, street lighting, cremation grounds, farmers’ platforms, free rice distribution, permanent housing, toilets, Ujjwala gas connections, loans for women’s self-help groups, self-employment schemes for youth, employment guarantee funds, drinking water facilities, healthcare security, and the PM KISAN scheme. He said these measures built strong trust among villagers and helped the BJP register solid results.
Rao said the party will contest more vigorously in Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the local body elections. He urged BJP workers to reach out to voters and explain the development work being carried out by the central government. He added that this outreach is important to strengthen the party’s base in rural Telangana. Therefore, he asked workers to maintain continuous contact with people in every village.
Appealing directly to voters, he said the future of villages depends on continued development. He urged citizens to ensure the BJP’s victory in the remaining phases of the Panchayat polls. He concluded by saying the party’s mission is to secure progress and prosperity for rural communities across the state.
