Rani Kumudini Appointed As Telangana Election Commissioner

Hyderabad, Sept 17 (Maxim News): The government has appointed Rani Kumudini, a retired IAS officer, appointed as the Telangana State Election Commissioner. Orders have been issued to this effect.

The previous BRS government appointed Parthasaradhi as the state election commissioner. His tenure ended recently. There was a campaign that he would extend his tenure in a few days. But CM Revanth Reddy seems to have thought of appointing new people to the port. In this background Rani Kumudini, a retired IAS officer, was appointed, Kumidini is a 1988 batch IAS officer. She has worked in various capacities in Central and State governments.

After the central services, the Telangana state government appointed her as the special chief secretary of the labor department. However, she retired before the 2023 elections. The previous KCR government continued her in the same capacity. Revanth Sarkar, who came to power after the election, entrusted her in the same capacity. Revanth Sarkar, who came to power after the election, entrusted her with the most important responsibility of State Election Commissioner. She will continue in this position for three years. Local body elections will be held in Telangana within a few months. Sarpanch, MPTC, ZPTC, Municipal, and other local elections will have to be conducted under the auspices of the State Election Commission. The conduct of this election will become a challenge for the new commissioner.  (Maxim News)
