Rathod Bapu Rao Quits Congress, Eyes Telangana Jagruthi

Hyderabad, April 19: Former Boath MLA Rathod Bapu Rao resigned from the Indian National Congress and is likely to join Telangana Jagruthi on Sunday.

Bapu Rao, a teacher by profession, entered politics after resigning from his job. He won the Boath Assembly seat in 2014 and 2018 on a Bharat Rashtra Samithi ticket, then known as TRS.

However, he shifted to the Bharatiya Janata Party after being denied a ticket in 2023. Later, he left the BJP and joined Congress ahead of the 2024 elections.

Rathod Bapu Rao Resignation Signals Political Shift

Meanwhile, the Rathod Bapu Rao resignation comes after reported dissatisfaction within the Congress. He was denied a ticket for the Adilabad Parliament seat in 2024.

As a result, he felt sidelined in recent party activities. Therefore, the Rathod Bapu Rao resignation marks another shift in his political journey.

His likely move to Telangana Jagriti indicates a new alignment. The development reflects ongoing political realignments in the region
