New Delhi, April 18 (Maxim News) : Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy continued his busy Delhi tour and met Union Ministers H D Kumaraswamy and Srinivasa Varma on Friday. During the meetings, he presented Telangana Rising 2047 vision proposals and sought support for major industrial projects.
The Chief Minister urged the Centre to establish the Bayyaram Green Steel Plant in Telangana. He said the project would reduce steel shortage and also help protect the environment.
Revanth Reddy explained that green steel production can support cleaner industrial growth. Therefore, he asked the Union ministers to consider the proposal quickly.
He also requested approval for a steel recycling industry that would use scrap from old vehicles.
Telangana Pushes EV and Robotics Plans
Further, the Chief Minister sought support for setting up an electric vehicle battery manufacturing hub in the state.
He also proposed special parks for machine tools and robotics equipment manufacturing. According to officials, these sectors can create jobs and attract global investment.
Moreover, Revanth Reddy asked the Centre to cooperate in turning Hyderabad into a pollution free city by 2034.
He requested assistance to shift more vehicles toward electric mobility. He said large scale EV adoption would reduce pollution and modernise transport systems.
The Chief Minister’s Delhi meetings come at a politically important time. Political attention has increased after the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill reportedly did not move forward in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. As a result, many are waiting to see what stand Revanth Reddy takes.
Officials said the Chief Minister is using the Delhi visit to push Telangana’s long term industrial and infrastructure agenda. (Maxim News)
