Sardar Papanna is symbolic to audacity: KCR
Hyderabad, Aug.18 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud was symbolic to the courage and audacity.
Sardar Sarvai Pappana had defied the Mughals and the Qutb Shahis in the 17th century. Pappana was a ‘bandit’ for the royals but a hero for the locals.
On the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Papanna, the Chief Minister remembered Papanna who stood as an inspiration for self respect of all sections.
He said Papanna’s fight against then dictatorial and autocratic forces by uniting all sections was inspiring. KCR said the State government was giving due respect to backward communities by organising Papanna’s birth anniversary celebrations officially.
“The Telangana government is continuing the spirit displayed by Papanna in the fight against discrimination and prejudice for self respect,” KCR added. (Maxim News)
