Hyderabad, May 11: South Central Railway has announced the cancellation and partial cancellation of several MMTS train services in Hyderabad on May 11 and 12 due to operational reasons. The disruptions are expected to affect daily commuters travelling on key suburban railway routes across the city.
Railway officials advised passengers to check updated train schedules before starting their journey. Moreover, commuters were asked to make alternate travel arrangements wherever necessary to avoid inconvenience.
The following MMTS train services have been fully cancelled for the two days:
- Train No. 47164 – Umdanagar to Lingampalli
- Train No. 47191 – Lingampalli to Falaknuma
- Train No. 47170 – Falaknuma to Lingampalli
- Train No. 47250 – Falaknuma to Umdanagar
Partial cancellations on key MMTS routes
In addition, several MMTS trains will run partially on selected stretches. Railway authorities said the services would operate only up to certain stations.
The following trains have been partially cancelled:
- Train No. 47210 – Lingampalli to Umdanagar, cancelled between Secunderabad and Umdanagar
- Train No. 47203 – Umdanagar to Lingampalli, cancelled between Umdanagar and Secunderabad
- Train No. 47179 – Lingampalli to Falaknuma, cancelled between Secunderabad and Falaknuma
- Train No. 47157 – Falaknuma to Lingampalli, cancelled between Falaknuma and Secunderabad
- Train No. 47190 – Lingampalli to Falaknuma, cancelled between Secunderabad and Falaknuma
- Train No. 47187 – Lingampalli to Falaknuma, cancelled between Secunderabad and Falaknuma
- Train No. 47166 – Falaknuma to Lingampalli, cancelled between Falaknuma and Secunderabad
The cancellations come at a time when the Telangana government is focusing on strengthening Hyderabad’s public transport network. Recently, the government announced plans to modernise MMTS stations and improve connectivity between MMTS, Metro Rail and RTC services through an integrated transport system.
Officials said passengers should stay updated through railway enquiry services and station announcements for any further changes in schedules.
