Sharmila Asks All Parties To Support Women Reservation Bill

Hyderabad, Sept 19 (Maxim News):  YSRTP president, Y.S Sharmila advised all the political parties and leaders to to use this Women Reservation Bill as political opportunism in passing the Bill. The main purpose of the Bill is likely to be defeated.  She said that everyone should support the Bill, which has been fought for decades, regardless of politics.

Sharmila said that the Central Cabinet’s approval of the Women’s Reservation Bill is a good result.  She said that we are one step away from the historic moment of introducing the Women’s Reservation Bill in the parliament.  She said she was waiting for the day when women, who make up half of the population, would get equal rights.  She pointed out that some people are expressing doubt about the introduction of this Bill during the election.  Sharmila said that they should work for public welfare and not for political opportunism.  (Maxim News)
