The Commissioner also said that technology will play a key role in monitoring the procession. Drones will be used for aerial surveillance. CCTV cameras will be installed along the route to ensure continuous monitoring. Therefore, authorities aim to maintain strict vigilance throughout the event.

He also addressed issues faced during last year’s procession. He said, “Similarly, we will complete all the arrangements from the government and police departments. Approximately 3000 police personnel will be on security duty for the procession. We will deploy crime teams and She Teams to prevent chain snatching and other incidents. We will monitor the procession with drones.

We will install CCTVs on the routes along which this procession will take place and continue to monitor them continuously. Last year, the procession was slowed down due to a vehicle breakdown. This time, we will take steps to complete the procession on time without such problems,” CP Sajjanar clarified.
