Mancherial, Sept. 4: A 70 year old man died after stray dogs attacked him at his home in Mancherial district.
The incident occurred at SC Colony in Dhandepalli mandal headquarters. The deceased was identified as Oraganti Poshanna, son of Narsaiah.
According to the information, Poshanna was sleeping at home when stray dogs entered the house. The dogs then attacked him.
Poshanna raised an alarm after the attack. Hearing his screams, his elder brother rushed to the spot.
His brother tried to drive the dogs away. However, the dogs also attempted to attack him during the incident.
Several people reached the house after learning about the attack. They then chased the dogs away from the area.

Later, village Sarpanch Rajeshwar alerted the 108 emergency ambulance service. An ambulance team then reached Poshanna’s house.
The ambulance staff examined the elderly man at the spot. However, they confirmed that he had already died.
The incident has raised concern among local residents following the fatal stray dog attack. Further details about the incident were not immediately available.
