Striking RTC Crew To Lose Jobs If Failed To Resume Duty

Hyderabad, Oct.5 (Maxim News): Striking workers of TSRTC, who fail to report to duty before 6 pm on Saturday, will cease to be employees of the corporation. Even in future, under any circumstances, they will not be considered as RTC employees. In the backdrop of TSRTC crew strike, the State government decided to evolve a permanent alternative transport policy to see that the people are not put to hardships. The government was examining three alternatives while evolving a strategy.

To run the RTC services by way of hiring three to four thousand private buses, the government invited applications from young men and women who possess driving licence to run RTC buses and thus provide employment opportunity to them. They will be given adequate training.

The State government was keenly watching the prevailing situation as on Saturday evening. On Sunday, a high-level review meeting will be held on the RTC crew strike. In the meeting, an alternative policy on transport will be evolved. As per instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrasshekhar Rao, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar was constantly reviewing and monitoring the situation arising out of RTC strike and its impact.
