Summer Holidays For Schools, Colleges Extended Till June 20 in Telangana

Hyderabad: The summer holidays for schools and DIET colleges in the State have been extended till June 20.

In the orders issued here on Tuesday, the Director of School Education has directed the heads of departments, regional joint directors of school education – Hyderabad and Warangal, all the district educational officers and DIET principals to take necessary action accordingly.

Officials clarified that the holidays extension would also be applicable to teachers. The clarification was issued as there were initial reports that teachers were to report for duties while students were given extended holidays up to June 20.

The reopening of all junior colleges in the State has also been postponed to June 20. Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday informed that the summer vacation for all government junior colleges, private aided and private junior colleges in the State has been extended.

The principals of government junior colleges in the State were instructed to continue the process of admissions by online portal of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education and other online method utilising the non teaching staff working in summer vacation on turn basis and other teaching staff available in the vicinity of the college.
