Hyderabad, June 2: BRS Legislature Party deputy leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday accused the Congress government of failing to implement its election promises and alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was using abusive language to divert attention from governance issues.
He made the remarks after participating in Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at BK Guda Park in Sanath Nagar, where he hoisted the National Flag and the BRS party flag and felicitated Telangana movement activists.
Srinivas Yadav alleged that the Congress came to power by making several commitments but had failed to fulfil many of them. He claimed that whenever questions were raised about the implementation of those assurances, the Chief Minister responded with threats and inappropriate remarks.
The BRS leader said the dignity of constitutional offices should be maintained and alleged that political criticism was being met with hostile responses.
Highlighting the role of BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Srinivas Yadav said he had successfully led the Telangana statehood movement and later implemented several welfare and development programmes after the formation of the State.
He said major projects and landmarks such as the Secretariat, Martyrs’ Memorial, Ambedkar statue, Command Control Centre, Yadadri Temple, and Kaleshwaram project stand as symbols of the previous BRS government’s contributions.
The BRS leader also accused the Congress government of failing to provide adequate support to farmers during the procurement season. He alleged that crop procurement and other agricultural assistance measures were not being implemented effectively.
Srinivas Yadav further claimed that farmers, unemployed youth, and other sections of society were becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the government’s performance. He asserted that public discontent against the Congress administration was growing across the State.
