Hyderabad, April 16: Central Board of Secondary Education Class 10 results placed Telangana second in India with a 99.80 pass rate. The state outperformed the national average of 93.70.
A total of 56,390 students appeared from 559 schools. Of them, 56,276 cleared the exams. The exams were held between February 17 and March 11 across 176 centres.
Tamil Nadu ranked first with 99.9 percent. Telangana and Kerala shared the second position at 99.8 percent. Last year, Telangana had secured the third rank.
Telangana CBSE Class 10 results show strong performance across categories
Under the Vijayawada region, Telangana recorded a 99.79 pass rate. This matched the Trivandrum region. Chennai reported 99.58 percent, while Bengaluru stood at 98.91 percent.
Girls outperformed boys in the state. Girls recorded 99.93 percent, while boys achieved 99.70 percent. The same trend was seen at the national level.
Students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas achieved 100 percent results. Government schools recorded 99.85 percent. Independent schools posted 99.78 percent.
Nationally, 24,71,777 students appeared for the exams. Of them, 23,16,008 passed. A total of 55,368 students scored above 95 percent. Meanwhile, 2,21,574 students crossed the 90 percent mark.
