Telangana Moving Towards A Trillion Dollar Economy: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad, Sept 5 (Maxim News): Telangana State Minister for IT and Industries, D. Sridhar Babu has made it clear that Telangana is moving forward to make it a trillion-dollar economy.

Speaking at the Artificial Intelligence (AI) International conference, the Minister said “We are going to gain full mastery in AI.  We will move ahead by achieving development every year.  With Telangana achieving an economic growth of 11.3 percent, the total gross state product (USDP reached 176 billion dollars. Our goal is to become a trillion-dollar economy soon. We are confident of sustainable growth in AI. We aim to bring AI to one crore users by 2027. Telangana has become the focal point for AI in the country.  Research and development are going to break new ground in the AI City to be established in Hyderabad.  It will be the birthplace of innovation.  AI will be created as a hub. Our technology plays a vital role in sustaining the capability. We have also planned to start a School of Excellence in AI City.  Until the construction of AI City is completed. We are allocating 2 lakh square feet of office space with all facilities in Telangana.  World Trade Center in Shamshabad for AI-based companies. So that they can start operations while the AI city is being designed.

To achieve the goals of emerging as an AI-based Telangana, the Telangana government has entered into MoUs with private companies and tech giants in various aspects.  We are going to take steps to use AI in all government departments. A nodal officer will be appointed for this purpose. We will include AI as a curriculum in all government schools. We have focused on the development of IT-based Industries in all 33 districts. We will use AI in the right way to avoid incidents like deepfake.  We will enter into agreements with international-level universities. Let’s take Japan as an example of ethical AI.  We are making a plan to prevent AI-based misinformation. We are working to coordinate all these aspects and make Telangana a global center of intellectual power through AI,” said Minister Sridhar Babu.  (Maxim News)
