Telangana: Sankranti Holidays From Jan 11 To All Educational Institutions

Hyderabad, Jan 10 (Maxim News): With Sankranti around the corner, students and teachers of all educational institutions are now gearing up for their much-awaited short-term vacation. Starting January 11, all the educational institutions will remain closed for the festive break.

School students can enjoy a seven-day festival vacation from January 11 to 17 with reopening scheduled for January 18.  As for the junior colleges, the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) announced the Sankranti holidays from January 11 to 16, inclusive of both days. The junior colleges will reopen on January 17.

All junior colleges’ principals have been instructed to strictly adhere to the holiday schedule and not to hold any classes during the vacation. The Board warned that violation of instructions will be viewed seriously and action, including disaffiliation, will be initiated against the erring management.

The degree and professional colleges have short-term vacations from January 11 to 15.  (Maxim News)
