Hyderabad, May 15: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said the State government is working towards achieving a three trillion dollar economy under the Telangana Rising vision.
The Minister stated that the government is focusing on rapid industrial growth, employment generation and investment expansion across Telangana.
On Friday, Ministers Sridhar Babu and Damodar Rajanarsimha visited Togarpally village in Kondapur mandal of Sangareddy district.
During the visit, the ministers performed bhoomi puja for a major food processing industry being established with an investment of Rs 650 crore on 44 acres of land.
The programme was attended by TGIIC Chairperson Nirmala Jaggareddy and TPCC Working President T. Jagga Reddy.
Officials said the KJS Unit II project is expected to provide employment to nearly 1,500 local women.
Addressing the gathering, Sridhar Babu said the new food processing industry would significantly boost employment opportunities in the region.
He stated that the unit is completely pollution free and aligns with the government’s focus on sustainable industrial development.
The Minister said the State government is actively working to attract investments through international conferences and investor outreach programmes under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
He added that Telangana is preparing to establish more industries along international industrial corridors in the coming years.
According to the Minister, the government aims to increase Telangana’s contribution to the national economy and strengthen industrial production by 2047.
Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha said Sangareddy district has a strong industrial history dating back to the united Andhra Pradesh era.
He stated that industries in backward regions would create employment opportunities and improve economic conditions for local youth.
TPCC Working President Jagga Reddy said the project became possible with the support and coordination of Minister Sridhar Babu.
He recalled that several major public sector institutions including Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Bharat Dynamics Limited and ODF units had earlier been established in Sangareddy district.
The Telangana government has been aggressively promoting industrial investments as part of its Telangana Rising 2047 development strategy.
