Hyderabad: Telangana is likely to receive light to moderate rainfall in several districts over the next 24 hours, with cloudy skies and a possible dip in temperatures expected on Sunday, August 30.
According to the weather forecast, 13 districts are likely to witness widespread spells of rain. The affected districts include Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Karimnagar, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Nirmal and Nizamabad.
Other parts of Telangana may also receive brief spells of rain during the day. Meanwhile, cloudy conditions could keep temperatures lower across several areas.
Telangana Weather Forecast: 13 Districts Likely to Get Rain
Rainfall was recorded in several parts of northern and eastern Telangana on Saturday night, August 29.
Karimnagar district recorded some of the highest rainfall. Gangadhara received 35 mm, followed by Choppadandi with 27 mm and Ramadugu with 21 mm.
In Peddapalli, Eligaid recorded 29.3 mm of rainfall, while Sultanabad received 23 mm. Jagtial also witnessed significant rainfall, with Bheemaram recording 28 mm, Mallial 26 mm and Kodimial 20.5 mm.
Parkal in Hanamkonda received 22.8 mm, while Mortad in Nizamabad recorded 22.3 mm. Kothapallygori in Bhupalapally received 20.5 mm and Mallampally in Mulugu recorded 19 mm.
Sangareddy, Hyderabad and Vikarabad also received good rainfall during the period.
Hyderabad weather forecast
Hyderabad is expected to remain mostly dry on Sunday. However, scattered showers are possible from the afternoon and may continue into the overnight hours.
Several parts of the city received rainfall overnight on Saturday. Sivarampally recorded the highest rainfall in Hyderabad at 12.8 mm.
Barkas received 8.3 mm, while Rajendranagar recorded 8 mm. Balapur also received 7.8 mm of rainfall.
The combination of cloudy skies and rainfall in several parts of Telangana is likely to bring some relief from prevailing temperatures. Residents in the rain-affected districts are advised to remain alert to changing weather conditions.
