Telugu States Brace Up For Heavy Rains

Heavy rainfall has been predicted for both the Telugu states by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). As per the weather report, IMD issued a two-day warning for both the Telugu states beginning from Friday night.

Since early hours of Saturday, several places in Vijayawada have been flooded due to heavy and incessant rains. Life has been brought to a grinding halt. Areas like Moghalrajapuram, Panja Center, Vambay Colony were among the worst affected and pedestrians and motorists were seen wading through rain. The incessant rains have affected school children and considering the commutation woes, schools have declared an unscheduled holiday.
