Rangareddy/Hyderabad, Sept 19 (Maxim News): Tension prevailed at the Janwada farmhouse in Shankarpalli mandal on Saturday after a group of Congress MPs and MLAs reached the property to inspect its land details.
BRS supporters reportedly tried to prevent the Congress leaders from proceeding towards the farmhouse. Police intervened and pushed the protesters away, leading to a tense situation at the spot. Heavy police deployment was reported in the area.
Congress leaders Mallu Ravi and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that the farmhouse was constructed over a drain and claimed that there were questions regarding permissions and land ownership. They said they had come to highlight what they described as irregularities concerning the property.
Congress Leaders Raise Questions Over Janwada Farmhouse
Mallu Ravi questioned the ownership details of the farmhouse, while Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged that its construction involved violations. He also referred to statements by Pradeep Reddy regarding KTR’s association with the property.
Pradeep Reddy, who has identified himself as the owner of the farmhouse, has rejected claims that KTR owns the property. He said the land belongs to him and that he had leased the property to KTR, whom he described as his childhood friend. Reddy has also said the property has a clear title and that he is prepared to provide documents to authorities if required.
The Congress leaders’ visit comes amid a wider political dispute between the ruling Congress and BRS over land and property issues. The latest developments at Janwada have added to the political tension, with both sides putting forward competing claims.
