Hyderabad, june 10 (Maxim News): Telangana CM Revanth Reddy was furious over the rejection of Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination in Madhya Pradesh. He alleged that this was a complete conspiracy by the BJP. He alleged that the BJP, which was involved in vote theft in the past and then in the SIR scams, has now resorted to seat theft. CM Revanth said that there are no criminal cases against Meenakshi Natarajan in Telangana. However, he expressed anger that her nomination was rejected in a conspiracy because she could not win the elections.
The CM said that when a Congress delegation led by senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh went to meet the Election Commission to complain about this injustice, they were prevented from going. He termed this act as a brutal attack on democracy and a suppression of the voices of the people. Revanth Reddy called on all citizens of the country to strongly condemn this act, calling it a dark day in the history of democracy. He said that they will not be complacent over this rejection of nominations and will definitely approach the court. CM Revanth Reddy made it clear that the Congress party will continue its fight until justice is done legally.
The hands of the leaders of their own party
On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh BJP Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya dropped a big bombshell, saying that the hands of his own party leaders were behind the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination. He made sensational comments that Congress leaders had provided him with information about the cases against her in Telangana. He criticized that people from his own party had provided him with this confidential information and papers, and that this was proof of how bad the current situation of the Congress party was. He expressed confidence that justice had finally prevailed and that his candidate Mahesh Kewat was certain of victory. With these comments made by the minister, the internal infighting within the Congress party was suddenly exposed.
Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan reacted strongly to the rejection of her Rajya Sabha nomination. “With this incident of unfair rejection of my nomination, the people of the country have fully understood the politics being played by the BJP. The BJP is conspiring to completely wipe out democracy and the opposition in the country and bring in a single-party system,” she alleged. She criticized the fact that the opposition candidates, who could not win the elections democratically, are being tried in such a way as to avoid the rights of the citizens of the country.
