Top BJP leaders should have come to Hyderabad during floods, not only during elections: KTR

Heavily criticizing the National BJP leaders campaigning in Hyderabad for GHMC elections, TRS Working President KTR said, “We welcome the top leadership of BJP to the state who are coming for campaigning for the local municipal election in Hyderabad. It would have been much better if the same leaders had come to Hyderabad when the city was facing heavy rains and floods.” KTR made the above comments during his roadshow in Uppal.

“Since they are visiting the city, they can pay a visit to Durgam Cheruvu bridge, Annapurna Centres, and Basti Dawakhanas too,” said KTR.

KTR went on and said, “Instead of coming with empty hands, I request them to bring along the Rs 1350 Crore financial assistance (for relief measures in rain-affected colonies) which CM KCR had requested for in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Continuing his attack, KTR stated that some leaders are stooping down for a few votes and seats – One insane leader says he will break memorials of NTR and PV Narsimha Rao and another insane leader encourages triple riding and promises to pay the challans.

“Hyderabad has been peaceful for the past six years. There has not been a single incidence of communal tension. Today, they only want to divide people in the name of religion. I urge you all to not support such parties,” said KTR.

KTR vehemently criticized the BJP leaders who were out making funny poll promises. He stated that the BJP leaders were promising to give financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to flood-affected families. “These are the same leaders who halted the distribution of financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the citizens and they are coming up with such promises to bluff people,” he said.

Not just attacking the opposition, an eloquent KTR was loud and clear-talking about the development activities the TRS government has taken up in the state since it came to power six years ago. He highlighted the Kalyana Lakshmi, KCR Kit, Annapurna Canteen, Basthi Dawakhana, installation of five lakh CCTV cameras in Hyderabad.

KTR said, “There was a major water crisis in Uppal five years ago. But today, every house is getting drinking water every alternate day. The TRS government has resolved the water crisis very efficiently.”

In his closing remarks, KTR urged the people of Uppal to support the TRS party and vote for TRS party candidates to let the development continue in Hyderabad.
