TPCC chief Revanth Reddy arrested

Hyderabad, Feb.17 (Maxim News): The City police today arrested TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy in order to prevent him from holding a protest on the occasion of the birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The Jubilee Hills police went to the house of Revanth Reddy and took him into preventive custody.

The TPCC president entered into an argument with the police on the occasion and protested strongly. He was immediately taken to the Langer Houz police station. Later he was taken to Golconda police station to avoid any protest program from the Congress activists.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy said the police arrested him for the second consecutive day in the last two days. He said, “the CM was scared of his own shadow and added that he was arrested by the police in order to allow KCR to celebrate his birthday”. He asked the Chief Minister if it was the right time for him to celebrate his birthday amid suicides of several unemployed youth. He called upon the party leaders to burn effigies of the Chief Minister in all mandal headquarters demanding KCR to release job notifications. (Maxim News)
