TPCC leader made party’s Gujarat incharge
Hyderabad, April 16 (Maxim News): Congress leader from the State Prof. Kathi Venkataswami, who is working as incharge of the AICC OBC wing for eastern States and West Bengal, was made the incharge of Gujarat State ahead of the Assembly elections later this year.
AICC OBC wing chairman Captain Ajay Singh Yadav issued an order to this effect. In his order, Yadav said Kathi Venkataswami was made the incharge of Gujarat in recognition of his services to the party at national level. Swami unsuccessfully contested from Narsampet Assembly constituency in 2014 Assembly elections as Congress candidate. He has been serving the party ever since his contest in the Assembly elections.
Commenting on the occasion, Venkatswami said he would work hard for the strengthening the OBC wing of the party. He thanked Ajay Singh Yadav and party president Sonia Gandhi for appointing him as the Gujarat incharge of the party. (Maxim News)
