Trend Of Protest And Gherao Of Assembly Going On Since Started

Hyderabad, Feb 11 (Maxim News): Attempts by Vaddera Castes and Congress Fishermen to besiege the Telangana Assembly led to tension.  They demanded that the Vaddera caste should be included in the ST list.  Also, the police arrested the workers of the Congress Fishermen’s Section who tried to gherao the Assembly demanding justice for the fishermen.

Since the Assembly session started, people from some communities have been trying to besiege the Assembly every day.  Many communities are alleging that many promises are not being fulfilled.  People belonging to different communities are staging dharnas and protests in front of the Assembly every day.  Meanwhile, the police are regularly stopping those who are coming gherao the assembly, they are being detained everywhere.  Heavy security was provided by the police at the Assembly.  A large number of policemen were also deployed around the Assembly.  Police are making arrangements in metro lines and bus stands leading to the Assembly.

Already Rajaka Sangam, auto Union, Yadavs, and others tried to gherao the assembly and the police arrested them.  Recently, Vaddera caste and Congress fishermen protested in front of the Assembly and the police detained them.  The police arrested them everywhere and took them to the police station without even reaching the Assembly.  Yesterday, BJP Corporators tried to gherao the Assembly.

The Assembly is being held in the midst of around 3,000 police personnel.  In view of the fact that the Assembly will end tomorrow, there are chances that the situation will be the same. (Maxim News)
