Moinabad/Hyderabad, May 16 (Maxim News): A sensational double murder near a farmhouse in Moinabad triggered panic in Telangana after two Muslim women, Abedi Begum and Mahboob Bee from Tandur in Vikarabad district were found brutally murdered on Saturday. Police suspect a planned attack linked to financial disputes and money lending transactions.
The bodies were discovered on government land near a farmhouse in Moinabad after local residents alerted the police. Investigators later identified the victims as women belonging to the Muslim community from Tandur.
According to police, the victims had been missing for the past few days. Their family members lodged a missing complaint at the local police station, following which investigators launched a search operation.
Using technical evidence and mobile phone tracking, police traced the women’s movement towards Moinabad.
Police Suspect Planned Murder Over Financial Dispute
During the investigation, police found the two women lying in pools of blood near the isolated farmhouse area. Preliminary findings revealed that the victims were allegedly involved in money lending activities in Tandur and nearby areas.
Investigators suspect several persons had borrowed large amounts from the women and failed to repay the dues even after repeated demands.
Police believe the accused carefully planned the murders. The suspects allegedly contacted the women and promised to clear the pending payments. Trusting them, the victims reportedly travelled from Tandur through Vikarabad to Moinabad.
Officials said the accused took the women to a deserted government land near the farmhouse where another argument reportedly broke out over repayment of money. The attackers then allegedly murdered both women and escaped from the spot.
Senior police officials, forensic experts and clue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information. Authorities collected fingerprints, blood samples and other evidence from the crime scene.
The bodies were shifted to Chevella Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
Police confirmed that special teams have been formed to trace the accused. Investigators are examining CCTV footage from Tandur, Vikarabad and Moinabad to identify the suspects and track the victims’ final movements.
The brutal killings created fear and tension in the region, with locals expressing concern over rising violent crimes linked to financial disputes.
