Vikarabad/Hyderabad, May 24 (Maxim News): A woman gave birth on the platform of Tandur railway station in Vikarabad district on Sunday (May 24) morning.
According to the details, a woman from Jinugurthi village in Tandur mandal had come to the Tandur District Government maternal and Child Hospital for treatment last week with right leg pain. As the woman started having fits, an ambulance was arranged and she was taken to Hyderabad for better treatment.
A woman undergoing treatment at Hyderabad’s Gandhi Hospital reached Tandur railway station on Saturday night. The woman, who had been alone at Tandur railway station since Saturday night, gave birth to a baby girl on the railway station platform after experiencing labor pains.
Fellow passengers who noticed the incident called 108, but there was no response for about two hours. With this, Mustafa from Tandur safely admitted the mother and child to the hospital in his auto at around 2 am. Locals have strongly criticized the lack of response even after calling 108 at 2 am in case of emergency. (Maxim News)
