YCP MLA Kotamreddy Granted Bail

Nellore, Oct.6 (Maxim News): Nellore Rural YSRCP MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, who was arrested by the Nellore police, was granted bail by a Special Judicial Court on Sunday.

The YSRCP MLA was arrested earlier on the grounds of allegedly threatening A Sarla, an MPDO in Nellore district on Friday night. In her complaint, she said Kotamreddy, along with his followers, threatened the MPDO for not providing water connection to a layout located in Golagamudi village. In her complaint, she said the legislator warned her at her home in Kallurupalli in the city limits and isolated basic amenities like water supply, power and so on to her house. Police booked a case and arrested him on Sunday.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy enquired on the incident after reaching the State from New Delhi. AP DGP Gautam Sawang reported all the details about the incident to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was keen on equality of justice for everyone ordered not to tolerate anyone, who disobeys the law. He also asked the DGP not to step back for taking legal action if they were able to produce evidence.

Speaking to the media after being granted bail, Kotamreddy said he welcomed the Chief Minister’s decision and would abide by it, if there was any proof against him. He said investigation should be conducted to prove if he had committed any wrongdoing, he said.

“MPDO Sarala has filed a false complaint against me, and said that the he had differences with the district SP, which was unfortunate and also the reason for this case. “About four days ago I filed a complaint with the Collector against the SP, because of which they have foisted the case out of personal enmity against me, ” Kotamreddy said. He said if proved wrong, he would publicly apologise to the MPDO and would request the party to suspend me from the Party instead of issuing any show cause notice. (Maxim News)
