Hyderabadis Prepare for Heavy Rains: IMD Issues Warning

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (Maxim News): The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Hyderabad city, it has warned that there will be heavy rains for the next two days i.e. August 30 and 31, 2024, rains will continue till September 2.

However, there are clear indications of heavy rains on Friday and Saturday, IMD has said that heavy rains will occur in many places across Telangana.

The department has announced a yellow alert as heavy rains are likely to occur in many districts of Telangana by Sunday and Thunder, lightning and gusty winds are likely to occur today, (August 29, 2024), it said that the heaviest rains will start from Friday and continue till September 2.

Hyderabad has already recorded 511.5 mm, which is 14 percent higher than the normal rainfall of 450 mm. (Maxim News)
