Planning to buy gold and silver during this wedding season? Make sure to check the latest prices before making a purchase. After a slight drop yesterday, Gold rates have surged again today. On February 13, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold has increased by ₹400, reaching ₹87,060.
The rate for 10 grams of 22-carat gold now stands at ₹79,810. In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has reached ₹87,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at ₹79,960 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad and Vijayawada, the rates for 10 grams of 24-carat and 22-carat gold remain at ₹87,060 and ₹79,810, respectively.

While gold prices have risen, silver rates have seen a minor dip. Silver prices have decreased by ₹100 per kg today. In Delhi, the price of 1 kg of silver now stands at ₹99,400. In Hyderabad and Vijayawada, silver prices are recorded at ₹106,900 per kg.

Gold Purity – How to Check?
To ensure the authenticity of gold, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) provides hallmarking. Here’s what the hallmarking codes mean:
- 24 Carat: Marked as 999 (99.9% pure)
- 23 Carat: Marked as 958
- 22 Carat: Marked as 916 (91% pure)
- 21 Carat: Marked as 875
- 18 Carat: Marked as 750
Since 22-carat gold is commonly used for jewellery, it contains 9% alloy (copper, silver, or zinc) for added strength. The mentioned prices here are closing prices of yesterday while today’s price would begin either with a decrease or increase.
