Maoist Called For A Bharat Bandh On June 10

Chhattisgarh/Hyderabad, June 1 (Maxim News): The Maoist Central Committee has called for a Bharat Bandh on June 10. The bandh was called in protest against the encounter of 27 Maoists in Chhattisgarh. They have called for commemoration meetings for the martyrs from June 11 to August 3.

It is known that 27 Maoists were killed in Operation kagar, launched by the Central government in the Abujhmad forests of Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh on mary 21. Among the dead were Maoist top leader Nambala KeshaV Rao alias Basava Raju and many other key leaders. The police have not even handed over the bodies of the Maoists from Telugu States who died in this encounter to their family members.

For the past few days, the Left parties have been demanding that the government stop Operation Kgar and hold peace talks with the Maoists, but the Center is not giving in. The Maoists are expressing anger that talks are not being held with the Maoists in the country instead of with the enemy country Pakistan. The leaders are demanding that a Supreme Court judge investigate the encounters.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that this is a key victory in the fight to eradicate naxalism. He said that the Modi government at the Center has resolved to completely eradicate Naxalism in the country by March 31, 2026. Prime Minister Modi said that Maoism will be eradicated and peace will be provided to the people. (Maxim News)
