CS conducts STF meeting on progress of HMR works

• CS directed Collector, Hyderabad to complete acquisition of properties in Badichowdi, Sultan Bazar and Putlibowli areas in the next couple of months.
• CS instructed Commissioner, GHMC to expedite acquisition of the remaining few affected properties in Krishna Nagar, Yusufguda and Jubilee Hills .
• CS has also advised Collectors, Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy and Commissioner, GHMC to focus on the properties which are under litigation and resolve the litigation in a win-win manner, so that there are no bottlenecks left for completion of the Metro project.

Hyderabad, Jan 10 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Mr. S. P. Singh conducted the Special Task Force (STF) meeting on the progress of the Hyderabad Metro Rail works on Tuesday.

Indicating that Chief Minister Mr. K.Chandrashekar Rao desires that most parts of the project will have to be completed this year, CS directed Collectors, Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy and Commissioner, GHMC to expedite acquisition of the remaining properties to bridge the gaps in the Metro corridors. He further stated that as one of the officers who initiated the Hyderabad Metro Rail project and founder Chairman of HMRL, the project is close to his heart and that he will closely monitor it’s progress so that the city can reap it’s benefits early.

MD, HMRL Mr. NVS Reddy made a detailed presentation on the progress of the works and informed CS that 61 km of foundations, 59 km of pillars and 50 km of viaduct have been completed. The MD has informed that RoB works at Alugadda Bavi, Oliphenta and Malakpet are in full swing and those at Begumpet and Lakdikapul have also picked up speed.

Secretary, MA&UD Mr. Naveen Mittal; Collector, Hyderabad Mr.Rahul Bojja; Collector, Ranga Reddy Mr.M.Raghunandan Rao; GM (Land Management), HMRL, Mr.S.Balakrishna, Chief City Planner, GHMC Mr.S. Devender Reddy; Chief Engineer, HMRL Mr.Md.Ziauddin; and other senior officers of HMRL, GHMC and other Government departments have participated in the meeting. (Maxim News)
