Kishan Reddy criticises Congress, BRS, AIMIM; backs BJP’s Deepak Reddy
Jubilee Hills civic issues, candidate selection and promises under attack
Hyderabad, Oct 21: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy urged voters in the Jubilee Hills bye-election to “teach a lesson” to what he called three “family parties,” naming the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, Congress, and the Majlis party, while addressing a nomination rally for BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy.
He alleged that these parties are “doing the same politics” and called for support to the BJP in the constituency.
Kishan Reddy joined the rally along with Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, Telangana BJP state president Ramchander Rao, and MPs Eatala Rajender and Raghunandan Rao.
He criticised the state of civic amenities in Jubilee Hills. He said people often assume Jubilee Hills is a well-developed area of the wealthy, but “everywhere there is garbage and sewage,” with poor roads and street lights.
He remarked that a person who once promised to make Hyderabad like London, Washington, and Singapore is “now in a farmhouse,” while residents face drainage and other issues.
He attacked the Congress party over jobs, saying it promised a job calendar but “where are the jobs?” He alleged that the Congress candidate was decided at the Majlis headquarters Darussalam and that the Congress nominee “took blessings” from Majlis leaders.
He accused the Congress of acting in a “very bad” way. He also alleged that the Majlis party’s “exploitation and high-handedness” is well known in the city, and that whichever party is in power, the Majlis “joins them and dominates people.”
Kishan Reddy said that due to Majlis’ role, “everyone knows” the condition of the city. He alleged that when any party comes to power, the Majlis aligns with it and “rules over the people.”
Therefore, he argued that “those three parties” must be taught a lesson by the people, and appealed to voters to ensure victory for BJP candidate Deepak Reddy.
He framed the bye-election as an opportunity for the public to respond to governance and local issues by choosing the BJP in Jubilee Hills.
