Hyderabad Police Commissionerate Reorganisation Finalised

Hyderabad Police | Hyderabad, Jan. 2: The Telangana Police have finalised police station boundaries following the Greater Hyderabad Police Commissionerate reorganisation, bringing 146 police stations under four commissionerates.

According to official details, Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Malkajgiri, and the newly created Future City Police Commissionerates will now function with revised territorial jurisdictions.

As a result, several police stations were shifted between commissionerates, while new stations were created to streamline policing and administration.

Moreover, the reorganisation aims to align police jurisdictions with rapid urban expansion.

Hyderabad Police Commissionerate Reorganisation Details

Under the Greater Hyderabad Police Commissionerate reorganisation, eight police stations moved from Hyderabad to Malkajgiri Commissionerate.

Meanwhile, nine stations were adjusted between Cyberabad and Malkajgiri, and a new Badangpet Police Station was established.

Additionally, four police stations from Sangareddy district were merged into Cyberabad Commissionerate.

The Market Police Station was dissolved following boundary changes, while Badangpet Police Station was newly formed.

Furthermore, several DCP zones and ACP divisions were renamed, and certain station jurisdictions were modified. In some areas, police stations were merged or removed to improve operational efficiency.

The Future City Police Commissionerate now operates with four DCP zones, six ACP divisions, and 22 police stations covering Rangareddy rural areas.

Malkajgiri Commissionerate comprises four zones, ten ACP divisions, and 30 police stations, including newly created Uppal and Begumpet DCP zones.

Cyberabad Commissionerate functions with three DCP zones, seven ACP divisions, and 22 police stations. Hyderabad Police Commissionerate remains the largest, with seven zones, 26 ACP divisions, and 73 police stations across the city.

Police officials indicated that further transfers of DCPs, ACPs, and Inspectors may follow the Greater Hyderabad Police Commissionerate reorganisation to ensure smooth implementation and effective policing across the expanded urban region.
