Hyderabad, June 1 (Maxim News) : TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud said social media now influences every aspect of public life.
Therefore, citizens must use digital platforms responsibly and stay informed about important issues.
Speaking at a media conference at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, he said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently urged party workers to adopt a broader outlook. According to Mahesh Kumar Goud, Rahul Gandhi asked leaders to move beyond narrow thinking and work for society with a larger vision.
He said young people should develop a strong understanding of state and national politics. Moreover, they should actively participate in democratic processes. He added that informed youth can contribute positively to public life.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said Rahul Gandhi stressed the importance of encouraging talented individuals. In addition, he said people with strong knowledge and communication skills should receive greater opportunities in politics and public service.
Rahul Gandhi Put Nation Above Power
Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s political journey, Mahesh Kumar Goud said he always placed the nation above personal ambition. He noted that Rahul Gandhi had opportunities to become Prime Minister in 2004 and 2009. However, he chose a different path.
“If Rahul Gandhi had focused only on power, he could have become Prime Minister. Instead, he placed the country before positions,” Mahesh Kumar Goud said.
Furthermore, he said public representatives should focus on people’s welfare rather than political posts. He also urged young people to understand governance issues and contribute to national development.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted the growing impact of social media on political discussions. Therefore, he advised citizens to verify information before sharing or believing it.
He reiterated that democracy becomes stronger when people stay informed. Likewise, he said knowledgeable and responsible youth can play a vital role in shaping the country’s future.
