A case of dairy buffalo fraud has come to light in Kamareddy district, where cyber criminals cheated a farmer of Rs 8.84 lakh. The incident occurred in the name of selling dairy buffaloes at a low price with home delivery. The victim later approached the police after realising that he had been cheated.

According to the information available, the victim was identified as Chakali Ramesh. He is a farmer from Sangameshwar village in Domakonda mandal. While watching reels on YouTube, he came across a post that offered dairy buffaloes at a low price with the promise of home delivery. Meanwhile, the post also displayed a mobile phone number for contact.

After seeing the post, farmer Ramesh called the number mentioned. The person on the other end reportedly spoke with confidence and finalised the deal for supplying dairy buffaloes. Therefore, Ramesh trusted the offer and continued communication. Later, the accused sent him a link and asked him to transfer money online for the delivery of the buffaloes.

Believing the claims, the farmer sent money in several instalments. In total, he transferred Rs 8.84 lakh through online payments. However, even after sending the full amount, the dairy buffaloes were not delivered to his home. Meanwhile, Ramesh tried to contact the person who had taken the money.

Later, the phone number was switched off. Then, Ramesh realised that he had been cheated in the dairy buffalo fraud. He subsequently approached the police and lodged a complaint. Based on his complaint, the police took note of the incident and began further action as per procedure.
