President Droupadi Murmu To Visit Sikkim From May 26 to 28

New Delhi, May 26: President of India Droupadi Murmu will visit Sikkim from May 26 to 28, 2026, as part of her official tour to the northeastern state.

According to an official statement, the President will begin her visit on May 26 with a trip to the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology in Gangtok.

On May 27, President Murmu will visit the strategically important Nathu La Pass near the India China border. Later in the day, she will attend and grace the convocation ceremony of Sikkim University in Gangtok.

President to Present Police Colour to Sikkim Police

On May 28, the President will present the prestigious President of India’s Police Colour to the Sikkim Police at a ceremony in Gangtok.

The Police Colour is one of the highest honours awarded to police forces in recognition of exceptional service, discipline and contribution to national security and public safety.

Officials said elaborate security and protocol arrangements are being made in Gangtok and other locations ahead of the President’s visit.

The three day visit is expected to include interactions with state officials, academic representatives and security personnel during various official engagements in Sikkim.
