Despite the repeated route changes, BRS workers continued to follow the convoy, refusing to disperse and insisting they would remain with their leaders.
The arrests and the subsequent police operation intensified the political atmosphere in Telangana, with the BRS accusing the state government of suppressing democratic protests. Police have not yet issued an official statement on the reasons for the repeated route changes or the detention location.
