Revanth Reddy Receives CSR Support For School Breakfast Scheme

Hyderabad, July 25: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday said the government is committed to providing quality breakfast and midday meals to students through the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation. He also welcomed CSR contributions from Divis Laboratories and Aurobindo Pharma for the school breakfast scheme.

During a meeting in Hyderabad, Divis Laboratories Vice President Madhubabu, Aurobindo Pharma Managing Director Nityananda Reddy, and Hare Krishna Foundation President Satyagoura Chandra Das met the Chief Minister.

Under their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Divis Laboratories donated ₹12.18 crore and Aurobindo Pharma contributed ₹10 crore for the School Breakfast Scheme in government schools. The companies handed over the cheques to the Hare Krishna Foundation in the presence of the Chief Minister.

Revanth Reddy said the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation is providing quality breakfast and midday meals to students through integrated kitchens established in different locations.

He added that the government plans to support farmers located near these integrated kitchens. The required vegetables, rice, and other food materials will be procured directly from local farmers.

The Chief Minister said the government is taking steps to provide free quality seeds and encourage farmers to adopt organic farming and crop rotation. He noted that the initiative would benefit both students and farmers.

Revanth Reddy also congratulated Divis Laboratories and Aurobindo Pharma for extending CSR support to strengthen the School Breakfast Scheme.
