Hyderabad, Oct.14 (Maxim News): The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), Telangana State Centre Organized world standards day Theme: “Video Standards Create a Global Stage” held on Monday. Dr P Sreenivasa Rao, CEO, Appollo Medskills Ltd., Hyderabad graced the function as Chief Guest. Dr P. Srinivasa Rao explained about the applications of video standards in telemedicine and particularly about specific applications like tele-consultancy, tele-diagnostics and tele-surgery. He also highlighted that lakhs of doctors and patients are getting benefitted by the developments in video standards.
Dr KVNSVPL Narasimham, FIE, Scientific Officer ‘G’, NCCCM/BARC, Hyderabad delivered Keynote address and graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. During his address, Dr Narasimham briefed the audience about the need for video standards and about the latest developments in video standards. He also highlighted the application of video standards in space, educational and scientific programs. He also explained the usage of the video standards in societal applications.
