Hyderabad, Oct.22 (Maxim News): The High Court on Tuesday heard petitions on hiring of buses by the TSRTC management as part of alternative arrangements in view of the ongoing strike by the crew.
The TSRTC Karmika Sangh moved the court against hiring of buses by the RTC management against norms. The petitioner argued that the RTC has no board, managing director and violating norms to ply private buses. The petitioner argued as to how the RTC hire buses when the strike issue was not resolved. The government counsel informed the court that the RTC has less number of buses and issued a notification to hire 1,035 buses. The RTC has been running the buses for convenience of the common people during the strike period, he said.
The notification will finalize tenders to press in private buses on rent as per the court directions, the Additional Advocate General said. He said as per the government instructions, the RTC is to hire the buses as it cannot alone run adequate number of buses to cater to the needs of people. The court posted the case to October 28.
