Moreover, the Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu Jathara is one of Hyderabad’s largest and most attended annual festivals. It draws lakhs of devotees from Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and surrounding districts.

As a result, the procession route and surrounding roads see extremely heavy footfall and vehicle movement during the festival days. Early planning helps police manage both devotee safety and traffic flow effectively.

Furthermore, Bonalu is a thanksgiving festival celebrated primarily by the Telugu community in honour of the goddess Mahankali.

The Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad hosts one of the most prominent Bonalu celebrations in the twin cities. Consequently, traffic management at Bata X Road and adjoining areas is a critical part of the police’s festival preparedness plan every year.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad Police will issue detailed traffic advisories and diversion orders ahead of the Jathara.

Commuters and residents near the procession route should watch for official updates from Hyderabad Traffic Police on road closures, alternate routes, and designated parking locations. Further details will be released as the festival date approaches. (Maxim News)
