Vizag Has Potential To Compete With Hyderabad & Bengaluru: Jagan
Tadepally, May 28 (Maxim News): AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that Vizag city of state had capacity to compete with metropolitan cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru. He said that they would establish an engineering university of the highest standards at vizag for the skill development of the students of the state. He made it clear that the state has special strengths when it came infrastructure. Jagan reminded all that the state has stable government while noting that the ruling YSRCP party was the fourth largest party at the center. Alleging that the erstwhile state government had sold off subsidies , he said that there was no such scope for corruption in his government.
He made these remarks while addressing the ongoing brainstorming session Our rule-Your advice at his camp office on the issue of establishment of major industries and job opportunities. The CM interacted with industrialists and beneficiaries of the state. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the state had suffered a lot due to its division and added that the center had also not kept its promise of conferring special status on the state. He said that the state would have got several subsidies, industries and GST benefits had it got the special status from the center. He said that the state did not get the special status although the erstwhile state government and the present central government had worked together from 2014-2019. He said that the state would have benefitted had there been no majority to the BJP led NDA government. He said that his government had set up a judicial preview commission and introduced reverse tendering process to keep a check on corruption.
He said that the state did not have power shortage problem and added that it had a strong banking system. Reddy said that the state government was ready to give land to industrialists. He said that 1466 companies were ready to invest Rs.11500 crore in the state. He also said that the state got 13122 micro small and medium scale industries during their rule. (Maxim News)
