The Khairatabad Task Force, Mahankali Police, and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials jointly carried out the raid. They seized 3,000 kg of fake paneer during the operation. Authorities also inspected six shops, including Sri Balaji Dairy Products and Vijay Milk and Curd Shop. From these, they recovered 1,600 kg of fake paneer from Sri Balaji Dairy Products and 1,000 kg from Vijay Milk and Curd Shop.

Officials said the task force police, along with a food inspector, are continuing inspections. They are targeting operators selling paneer across different parts of the city. Meanwhile, the scale of the seizure has raised concerns about food safety and public health.

However, this is not an isolated case. A day earlier, on March 17, another raid uncovered adulterated ginger garlic paste in Hyderabad. The Task Force Police conducted the operation under the Tappachabutra Police Station limits. During the raid, they arrested one person and seized stocks worth about Rs. 2.5 lakh.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Jafar Alay (42), was running the operation under the name “Sahara India” in the Malaimet area of Tappachabutra. Officials found that the ginger garlic paste was adulterated using chemicals like citric acid and excess salt. In total, 1,155 kg of adulterated paste was seized.

Therefore, officials believe the adulteration network is expanding beyond dairy products. From milk to ginger paste and even toothpaste, several items are reportedly being tampered with. Authorities have intensified checks and warned that strict action will follow against those involved in such illegal activities.
